A Submission
from Wilfred Sorensen
I believe it would be possible to force the agency that put a half page ad in the Kingston Whig Standard a couple of weeks ago, and probably a lot of other papers, to retract their statement that nuclear energy produces practically no pollution. There is an enormous amount of pollution when $40 B is spent on anything. Then there is the mining and upgrading of the fuel, demolishing that $40 B facility and burrying it 15 to 20 years down the road, and finally creating a deep underground storage for spent fuel that must be maintained and guarded for thousand of years. This was surely a case of false and misleading advertizing which is unlawful.
